All you need is an image of Buddha smiling and you feel at peace. I used an earthy tone in an attempt to evoke an ancient era. A remote Himalayan shrine inspired the backdrop.
Sometimes a smile resonates so strongly in two hearts it spills all over from the eyes. A mother's pride is its best source.
With this work I tried to follow the dictum. Á drawing shouldn’t have unnecessary lines. The few lines I marked out I hope manage to convey the lonely girl’s spirit on a leisurely holiday.
Felt a range of emotions while creating it - humility, pride, eagerness, impatience, bliss, challenge, and above all a uniqueness of the work because I found it so different from my other images.
If happiness were an animal; it would be arbrightcoloured bird that inhabits pink inflorescence. I hope this work makes everyone as happy and positive as I felt creating it.
